Yesteryear
Aviation Inc. is located in Mason, Michigan, fifteen miles south of the
state capital, Lansing, Michigan. Our inventory started
with three hundred and fifty drums of surplus aircraft hardware from WWII
and the Korean War. We have grown and now also produce a smoke system.
In addition, we build Stearman Model 75 series wood wings, wing
kits, and rebuild W-670 engines. We also do repair of components, such
as ailerons. We will offer PMA parts in the very near future.
Our hardware inventory
includes a wide variety of bolts, clamps, Dzus fasteners, nut plates,
plumbing fittings, bearings, primer fittings,
prop bolts plus many “out of production” items. We are
not able to include the entire inventory on our website. If you are
in need
of a specific part that is not listed, please call.
Our smoke system comes ready to install in the plane, between the front
rudder pedals.
Our wing parts are produced from the original Boeing drawings, using
Stika spruce wood, Mahogany plywood and nails - just like original Stearman
construction.
We also carry certified small bearings for the Stearman flight controls.
We restored our own PT-17 Stearman. The project took five years and
was completed in 2001. We enjoy the Stearman, it is fun and challenging
to fly. We look forward to our annual trip to the National Stearman Fly-In
in Galesburg, Illinois every September.
